DESCRIPTION:Lab-based professionals\, researchers\, and entrepreneurs looking to transform scientific innovation into successful business ventures are encouraged to attend IMPACT 307’s Building Wyoming’s Network of Lab-Based Startups on Thursday\, April 24th\, from noon to 1 pm with an additional 30 minutes of networking time until 1:30 pm at the Wyoming Technology Business Center\, Room 104. \n\n\n\nThis event aims to connect lab-based professionals\, entrepreneurs\, and support organizations to explore steps for transforming Wyoming’s research discoveries into thriving startups. A panel of experts will lead the conversation\, addressing key challenges and opportunities for lab-based ventures in the state. Panelists include Dr. Katie Dongmei Li-Oakey\, Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering; Didier Lesueur\, Chief Executive Officer at Western Research Institute; Danny Dale\, Professor of Physics and Astronomy and AssociateDean of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences; and Kristin DiBona\, CEO and CoFounder of Wyonics and Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at the University of Wyoming. \n\n\n\nThe theme of the event is Building Wyoming’s Network of Lab-Based Startups and we hope to have a panel discuss the process of going from lab to launching a business as well as leveraging Wyoming’s network to strengthen Wyoming lab-based businesses. IMPACT 307 is the University of Wyoming’s business incubator supporting the growth of startup incubator clients and event attendees. IMPACT 307 is hosting this event as part of its mission to boost entrepreneurs with the resources and knowledge needed to succeed.
