UW’s IMPACT 307 to Host ‘Lunch and Learn’ Series Webinar July 27

IMPACT 307, a University of Wyoming program, will host “How to Recruit, Hire and Retain for Success,” a new “Lunch and Learn” series webinar, Wednesday, July 27, from noon-1 p.m.

Nicole Romeo, president of the Big Horn Mountain Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter and senior human resources generalist for the city of Sheridan; Sheree Childers-Cossel, director of human resources at The Hub on Smith, Sheridan’s senior center, and diversity and inclusion chair for the Big Horn Mountain SHRM chapter; and Annie Magera, president-elect of the Big Horn Mountain SHRM chapter and a business owner/entrepreneur in Sheridan, will present the free webinar.

Employers and job seekers have experienced some challenges in recent times due to several factors. Now, more than ever, it is imperative businesses hire and retain people who add value and culture-positive attributes to their teams.

Attendees will learn the basics of recruiting — from posting effective job openings to providing benefits — and gain tools for facilitating a smooth onboarding process. Additionally, there will be discussion on how to keep new hires engaged, motivated and productive.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

The IMPACT 307 Lunch and Learn series is designed to introduce new and existing entrepreneurs to a wide range of business topics. These hourlong educational sessions are held once a month and presented via Zoom.

IMPACT 307 is a statewide network of innovation-driven business incubators committed to growing and strengthening Wyoming’s entrepreneurial community by providing resources and support for founders to thrive.
