Start-Up Challenge Finalist Series- I Call Shotgun

We continue our series today on the finalists for Impact 307’s Sheridan Start-Up Challenge entrepreneur competition. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Over the next several days leading up to Pitch Night, we’ll be highlighting the finalists for this year’s Sheridan Start-Up Challenge entrepreneur competition that is hosted by Impact 307, Sheridan’s business incubator. The six finalists at Pitch Night will present their business ideas before a panel of judges for a chance to win business funding from the $100,000 seed fund that’s been established for the event. Isabella Haas and Alaina Gross are the owners and creators of I Call Shotgun, activities and games aimed at providing safe and legal entertainment for young adults in small towns. Haas said it’s essentially a card game.

Haas says that they would also like to develop a related app in the future.

Gross talks about how they would benefit from being one of the winners at Pitch Night.

Along with access to the seed fund, each of the three winners at Pitch Night will receive $5,000. All six of the finalists will be eligible for the Sheridan Travel and Tourism audience choice award. Pitch Night will take place at 5:30 at the WYO Theater this upcoming Tuesday night. There will also be a live-stream of the event available on our website sheridanmedia.com.
